Peter M. Quint is a career teacher and an advocate for Deaf people. Experiencing sudden hearing loss at a young age, he spent years learning and then teaching American Sign Language (ASL) at the high school and college level. He knows well the constant struggle to understand the spoken language. With a bachelor’s in English literature from Occidental College and a master’s in education from Lewis and Clark College, Peter draws readers into an intimate experience of how Deaf people experience life and the various forms of sign language to which they are exposed.

As a core member of the Deaf community, he is actively involved as a founding leader of Deaf House Fellowship, a home and community-based fellowship of believers and the founder of Deaf Heartlight, a life support recovery program for Deaf people. Peter resides in Aubrey, Texas, with his Deaf wife Pratibha and their Deaf min-Australian shepherd, Asha.

Throughout his tenure as a teacher of the Deaf, Peter has contributed articles to various educational newsletters, working closely with secondary-level writing teachers to teach literary elements and hone the craft of student writing. Meet Peter
An American Sign Language and Deaf Culture University teacher, a leader and advocate in the Deaf community and Deaf himself, Peter M. Quint writes novels about Deaf characters whose life challenges shake their foundations and beliefs. He and his wife, Pratibha are involved in the regional Deaf community and live in Aubrey, Texas with their dog. He is the author of the Resilient Silence series.
